Am not sure why you are not continuing posting but these fights can be draining, as I know from experience.
I hope some resolution in your favour can be achieved but with Big Business controlling the world, it does over here too, you will need to find legal argument to stand any chance and when you remember who writes the law it shows how tough it can be.

Just had a thought, the customers for the product often claim to have good environmental codes of practice, its a slow job but this angle might be a way to bring pressure to bear on those in power.
And write to UK and US newspapers or the columnists a good newspaper to write in the UK is The Independent.
Quite a few of these papers are on line and their reporters often have contact details available.
